Being a catalog of cookies and cakes in a single page, there are lots of images in this page.
Yet, this site was designed to be very efficient, easy navigation, and load very fast.
This site had a goal to:
- serve people who prefer to scroll through the whole catalog in one page
- serve people who prefer clicking rather than scrolling, i.e. clicking a thumbnail will bring its detail card up, switch places with the top row cards.
- present the cakes in many ways but still compact in one page:
- cookie names based on category
- cookie names based on feature (newest, most sold, most popular, cheapest, etc)
- thumbnail of all cookie pictures for quick selection
- decent size picture along with its description and price
